Creating Memories Is What I Do Best
I have always dreamed of owning my own event planning company. It all began at age 16 when I was a birthday hostess for Geyser Falls Water Theme Park, a local waterpark. I spent many summers planning birthday parties, corporate events, company picnics, and a few weddings.
After leaving Geyser Falls, I moved to the Jackson Metro Area and began working at the Mississippi Economic Council - The State Chamber of Commerce. There I handle events, marketing, and public relations.
Using my years of expertise, Sweet Southern Occasions was born. Bring a bit of Southern charm to all occasions, I enjoy making memories for my clients and nothing makes me happier then seeing them with a smile on their faces.

Our most recent events have been casual and laid back affairs. For example, Emily’s friend reached out when her wedding was being planned. After discussing where she was in her planning and determining where she needed help, Emily supported her friend by reaching out to caterers and other vendors. One of the benefits of working with an event coordinator is our connections with a variety of vendors such as florists, caterers, and decorators that supply tablecloths and linens.
Emily provided day-of-coordination services where she ensured that the bride and groom were treated like celebrities and that they had everything they needed, down to the tiniest details, to make their vision for their special day a reality.
